Young Black Bear Enters Contractor's Truck in Colorado, Safely Rescued
In Colorado, a local contractor recently encountered a young black bear inside his pickup truck after the animal entered through an open window. The contractor initially tried to coax the bear out on his own, but when unsuccessful, wildlife officers from the Colorado Parks and Wildlife were called to the scene. The officers carefully opened the truck door, and after a brief moment, the bear exited unharmed and fled back into the nearby wooded area.
Colorado wildlife officials explained that bears have an exceptionally keen sense of smell, which can attract them to vehicles containing food remnants or scented items. Following the incident, residents were urged to keep vehicle windows and doors closed and to avoid leaving food or aromatic objects inside, especially in forested regions where bears are common.
