One-Year-Old Haredi Toddler Forgotten in Car for an Hour in Jerusalem, Hospitalized in Moderate Condition
A one-year-old Haredi toddler was forgotten inside a car for approximately one hour on Valenstein Street in the Ramot neighborhood of Jerusalem on Tuesday. The child suffered from dehydration and was found conscious when emergency responders arrived at the scene.
Medical teams from United Hatzalah provided initial treatment at the site before transporting the toddler to the hospital in moderate condition. Dr. Natan Ungar, a volunteer physician with United Hatzalah, and paramedic Shimshon Greenfeld reported that the child was dehydrated but responsive upon evacuation.
The incident highlights the dangers of leaving young children unattended in vehicles, especially in warm weather conditions. Authorities have not released further details about the circumstances leading to the toddler being left in the car or any ongoing investigations.
