After two years of complex discussions, legal battles with the global players' organization FIFPro, and dramatic rulings, Spain's AS reported that FIFA has announced a total revolution in the international transfer regulations.
The current rules, which were created back in 2001, are set to be completely transformed. These dramatic changes have now been approved in an official meeting in Mexico City, but it is important to stress that they will officially take effect on January 1, 2027.
