According to the report, the new American interpretation rejects any automatic or immediate Israeli withdrawal from southern Lebanon areas currently held by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF). The US government is presenting an uncompromising pro-Israel position, with Vice President J.D. Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio advocating against pressuring Israel to relinquish its operational gains in southern Lebanon.

The report further states that instead of demanding an Israeli withdrawal in exchange for paper guarantees, the White House conditions any future IDF pullout on the complete and permanent disarmament of the Hezbollah terrorist organization. This disarmament must be accompanied by an effective deployment of Lebanese forces and the full restoration of exclusive Lebanese sovereignty over the area.
