Iranian Foreign Ministry Denies Upcoming Negotiations with US Amid Contradictory Reports
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson announced that Iran will not hold any negotiation meetings with the United States in the coming days at any level. This statement was reported by Qatar's Al Jazeera network and clarified that the presence of American representatives traveling to Qatar is unrelated to the Iranian delegation's visit. Earlier, Iran denied reports of a scheduled meeting between Iranian and American officials in Doha, contradicting US President Donald Trump's claim that such talks were planned and that Iran had requested them.
Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi tweeted that if the US adheres to the memorandum of understanding, Iran will fulfill its commitments. Additionally, Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister revealed that Iranian and Omani experts are set to begin technical discussions soon, focusing on redefining trade routes through the Strait of Hormuz. President Trump commented on the delegation heading to Doha, stating, "Maybe it will be important, we will find out."
