Knesset Committee to Discuss Intestinal Illness Outbreak at IDF Bases Following Ynet Report

MK Sharon Nir from Yisrael Beiteinu has requested an urgent discussion in the Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee regarding the prevention of future intestinal illness cases at IDF bases. This request follows a Ynet report revealing that 65 soldiers at the Nachal Infantry Training Base reported intestinal ailments over the past weekend. The IDF announced it would conduct an inspection at the base to investigate the source of the illness. The committee approved the request, with several other Knesset members joining, including Efrat Rayten, Eliyahu Revivo, Limor Son Har Melech, Meir Cohen, and Alon Schuster. The discussion is expected to be scheduled for next week.
