Israeli Documentary Series 'Carlos the Jackal' Premieres on Fox News Streaming in the US
The Israeli documentary series "Carlos the Jackal," produced by Kan, Koma Studios, and NGI, has been adapted into an American version and is now available on Fox Nation, Fox News' streaming service in the United States. The American adaptation was directed by Yaron Niski, one of the original Israeli series creators, and produced in collaboration with Canadian company North Bright, Koma Studios, and NGI. The series features American author and former US Navy commando Jack Carr as the lead presenter.
"Carlos the Jackal" offers a rare insight into the mind of Ilich Ramirez Sanchez, known as Carlos the Jackal, one of the most notorious terrorists of the 20th century. The series includes exclusive prison recordings made over 11 hours during limited phone call windows, alongside interviews with intelligence officials involved in the international manhunt for Carlos. In these conversations, Carlos discusses his past as an international terrorist, his connections with global terror organizations, his support for Hezbollah, and expresses regret only for "not killing more people."
Carlos was captured in Sudan in 1994, extradited to French security services, and is currently serving three life sentences in France for murder and terrorist attacks that caused numerous casualties. Gili Gaon, head of documentary at Kan, praised the series' international success as a testament to the quality and uniqueness of Israeli documentary production. Yaron Niski highlighted the importance of sharing Israeli creative voices globally, especially during challenging times for Israel, noting previous broadcasts of their work on BBC and now Fox News.
