Fox News Streams American Version of 'Carlos the Jackal' Documentary Series
An American adaptation of the documentary series "Carlos the Jackal," originally produced for Israel's Kan 11, began streaming today on Fox News' Fox Nation platform. The new version was re-filmed by Yaron Niski, the creator of the original Israeli series. It offers an in-depth look at the life of Ilich Ramirez Sanchez, known as "Carlos the Jackal," one of the most notorious terrorists of the 20th century. The series features exclusive prison recordings of Carlos, captured during 11 hours of phone conversations from his French prison cell, alongside interviews with intelligence officials and senior figures involved in the international manhunt for him.
Carlos discusses his past as an international terrorist, his connections with global terror organizations, his support for Hezbollah, and expresses regret only for "not killing more people." Captured in Sudan in 1994 and handed over to French security services, Carlos is currently serving three life sentences in France for murder and terrorist attacks that caused numerous casualties. The original Israeli version aired on Kan 11 and Kan BOX about two years ago.
In the American adaptation, the series is led by Jack Carr, a former U.S. Navy SEAL and bestselling author known for works such as "The Terminal List," which has been adapted into a successful TV series. The three-episode series is now available for viewing on Fox Nation, Fox News' streaming service.
