IDF Deploys Advanced "Hammer Lavi" Off-Road Vehicle to Mountain Unit
The Israel Defense Forces' ground forces have officially introduced a new advanced off-road vehicle, the "Hammer Lavi," into the Mountain Brigade. This vehicle is expected to significantly enhance the mobility capabilities of soldiers operating in complex terrains. Although its external design resembles previous models, the Hammer Lavi features comprehensive mechanical and engineering upgrades, including a new turbocharged engine positioned at the front of the vehicle. This engine improves internal oxygen flow, enabling optimal performance in extreme environments such as the high, snowy areas of Mount Hermon.
In addition to the engine improvements, the vehicle boasts a high load capacity of up to 6.1 tons. Lieutenant Colonel A, commander of the mountain mobility unit, highlighted the vehicle's advanced self-braking capabilities, which facilitate safer driving on steep slopes and provide significantly increased security for teams during secret and complex missions deep in the field. Having been in active use for several months, the new vehicles have demonstrated high durability and have become a crucial reinforcement in the operational mobility array in the northern sector.
