Jerusalem Shop Owner Sentenced to Seven Years for Rape and Sexual Offenses Against Disabled Women
The Jerusalem District Court sentenced Ramin Mizrahi, 63, to seven years in prison after convicting him of raping a teenage girl and committing two sexual offenses against women with disabilities. Mizrahi, who ran a household goods and antiques store near Jerusalem's central bus station, exploited the trust and vulnerable conditions of the three women who entered his shop. In addition to the prison term, the court imposed a suspended sentence and ordered Mizrahi to pay a total compensation of 130,000 shekels to the victims. The prosecution had requested an 11-year prison sentence along with additional penalties.
