Israeli Table Tennis Championship 2026 Kicks Off in Wingate Institute

The 2026 Israeli Table Tennis Championship named after Ben Zusman begins tomorrow, June 30, at the Wingate Institute's HaHisgi Hall, running through July 3. This premier national event will bring together the top male and female players from across Israel to compete for the coveted national titles. Throughout the season, participants earned their rankings and qualification spots through various competitions, culminating now in this major tournament.

Hundreds of competitors, ranging from children to veteran athletes, will engage in four days of intense matches, making it one of the largest and most diverse table tennis events on Israel's sports calendar. The championship honors the memory of Ben Zusman, a talented player and combat engineer who was killed in action in the Gaza Strip on December 3, 2023. Zusman had shown exceptional promise from a young age, competing in the youth premier league and the national adult league for Hapoel Jerusalem.
