Power Couple Sparks Heated Debate Over Household Chores and Dishwashing Roles

A heated argument erupted on the Israeli reality show Power Couple on Sunday night between Odia Pinto and her husband Elior (Rafi Daloia) over the division of household chores. The dispute began when contestant Shir Tarn accused Elior of not contributing enough to housework and questioned his upbringing. Odia fiercely defended her husband, stating, "Who are you to judge my husband's upbringing? He received an education spanning seventy generations." She admitted she herself does not handle laundry or dishes, while Elior explained that his father's household model was very different.

The turning point came when Elior conducted an informal survey among the participants to find out who actually washes dishes. To everyone's surprise, Shir, who initiated the criticism, revealed she does not wash dishes at all. Elior confronted her, saying, "You argued with him for an hour, yet you don't do dishes!" Shir later explained in an interview that although she once taught Elad from scratch, she no longer does any housework.

Elad added a humorous note by revealing the real reason he washes dishes: "It's the only time I wear headphones and she doesn't talk to me." Sharon Haziz reminded the group that men are now full partners in household duties, not living in the Stone Age. Despite Odia urging Elior to wash dishes at the end of the night, he refused, saying, "No way, I'm the last person this will happen to."
