Tel Aviv's Palt Bistro Launches Exclusive French Brunch Seven Days a Week
A year after opening in the Bazaar Hotel in Jaffa, Palt Bistro has introduced a new French brunch served every day of the week, a rare offering in Tel Aviv. Previously a well-kept secret mainly for hotel guests, the brunch is now open to the public by reservation only, featuring an elegant buffet and a main dish for 139 shekels per person. The menu includes unique French breakfast items such as leek quiche Lorraine, potato gratin, French egg salad, and signature dishes like the croque madame with melted cheese, béchamel sauce, and crispy bacon.
Palt was founded by partners Shir Shahar Bohadana and Alon Aharonovitz, with chef Roi Dori initially leading the kitchen. Today, sous-chef Artyom Latvinov maintains the authentic French culinary style. The bistro’s Parisian ambiance is enhanced by deep green curtains, wine-colored walls, French artwork, and a curated playlist, creating a charming atmosphere that transports diners from Jerusalem Boulevard to a Parisian boulevard.
The brunch replaces typical orange juice and mimosas with cold tea infusions and French drinks, and includes standout items like chocolate-dipped waffles and gougères. The evening menu has also been recently updated with innovative dishes such as shrimp croquettes with roasted pepper sauce and a beef bourguignon skewer, reflecting Palt’s approach of deconstructing and reinventing classic French cuisine. Desserts like the tart tatin are freshly prepared upon order, requiring a wait but promising a memorable experience.
Palt Bistro is located at 22 Jerusalem Boulevard, Jaffa, and operates daily from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. The establishment is not kosher. Reservations are required due to limited seating for the brunch service.
