Sharon Haziz Credits Caring for Mother with Alzheimer’s for Strengthening Her Relationship
Sharon Haziz and her partner Ronen Nof moved in together in Ramat Hasharon a year after meeting, bringing with them a significant challenge: caring for Haziz’s mother, Aviva, who was in advanced stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Haziz explains that when they decided to live together, she insisted her mother join them, as she could no longer live alone. Nof embraced the responsibility with sensitivity and love, which deepened their bond and proved to Haziz that she could trust him completely.
After three years of home care, they realized Aviva needed more professional support and made the difficult decision to place her in a care facility. Haziz describes this as one of the hardest moments of her life but later recognized it as an act of love, as her mother thrived socially and emotionally there until her passing six months ago from cancer, not Alzheimer’s.
Haziz, 56, has been married three times before meeting Nof, 58, a contractor and interior designer. They met through a mutual friend’s introduction on Facebook five years ago and quickly formed a deep connection. Nof brought four children from a previous relationship, and Haziz has one daughter, Anna, 23. The blended family lives harmoniously, with Haziz embracing her role as a mother figure and enjoying the large family dynamic.
Professionally, Haziz is a singer and actress with a nostalgic Israeli music show and an upcoming comedy film. She recently became a certified numerologist, helping others through number-based insights. Haziz and Nof currently appear on the reality show "Power Couple VIP," which tests celebrity couples’ relationships. Haziz says the experience strengthened their partnership and helped her embrace vulnerability and authenticity.
Despite her past marriages, Haziz has no plans to marry again, believing marriage is only necessary for having children, which she no longer intends. She values the deep love and family she has found with Nof and their blended children.
