IDF Identifies and Responds to Gunfire Against Forces in Southern Syria
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported that gunfire was recently detected targeting its troops operating in the security zone in southern Syria. There were no injuries among the Israeli forces. In response, the IDF returned fire and conducted mortar strikes in the area. Additionally, an attack helicopter carried out a strike in an open area to support the troops on the ground. The IDF affirmed its commitment to continue operations in the southern Syria security zone to neutralize any threats to Israeli civilians and military personnel.
