Dramatic Footage Captures Car Bomb Killing of Father in Jaffa
A powerful car bomb exploded on Saharon Street in Jaffa on the morning of June 28, killing 38-year-old Iyad A'rab as he was driving his six-year-old son to school. The explosion occurred around 7:30 a.m., destroying the vehicle and setting it on fire. Dramatic footage shows a bystander rushing to pull the child from the burning car moments before the flames spread, saving the boy's life. The child was taken to Wolfson Hospital in Holon with moderate injuries.
Iyad A'rab, a Jaffa resident with no criminal record and no known ties to law enforcement, was killed instantly in the blast. Police investigations suggest the attack was motivated by revenge linked to the killing of a 16-year-old boy last week, part of an ongoing feud between two clans in Jaffa. Despite the clear security camera footage of the incident, no suspects have been arrested yet. Authorities continue to investigate the case as a criminal act of retaliation.
