Israeli Justice Minister Yariv Levin Appoints 68 New Judges Across Courts Nationwide
The Israeli Committee for the Selection of Judges, chaired by Justice Minister Yariv Levin, convened in Jerusalem on Sunday to appoint 68 new judges to various courts across the country. The appointments include judges for district courts, magistrate courts, family courts, juvenile courts, and traffic courts. In addition to new appointments, Levin also designated several judges to serve as acting judges in four district courts.
Among those appointed to district courts are Judges Efrat Or-Elias, Sheli Eisenberg, Amit Yariv, Menachem Mizrahi, Nir Mishori Lev-Tov, and Michal Kaplan Rokman. Magistrate court appointees include lawyers Ortal Bela, Said Galia, and Anan Ganem, as well as senior court registrars Salem Jdaon, Mart Dorfman, and Michal Zinger. The Haifa district court saw appointments of lawyers Yaniv Avitan, Ola Bashara Gandor, Asaf Gershgoren, and others.
Family court appointments in Haifa include lawyers Mirit Chabia Dagan and Sharon Hakim, alongside senior registrars Michal Farber and Esti Shachal. Other regional appointments span the Central, Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Jerusalem, and Southern districts. Juvenile court appointees include lawyers Orit Bar Levi, Jumana Damoni Khoury, and others, while traffic court appointments cover multiple districts with lawyers such as Oded Yoram Arara and Victoria Ben Meir.
Acting judges were appointed to district courts in Beersheba, Haifa, Jerusalem, and the Northern Galilee. Notable acting judges include Yaniv Boker, Dov Gottlieb, Mira Dahan, and Orit Ben-Dor Livbal. At the conclusion of the session, Minister Levin congratulated all newly appointed and acting judges, wishing them success in their judicial duties.
