Nadvorna Jerusalem Rebbe Hosts Quiet Wedding Celebrations with Spiritual Focus
This week, the Nadvorna Jerusalem Hasidic community celebrated the wedding of the Admor's grandson, son of Rabbi Yochanan Rozenboim, the Bnei Brak community rabbi, and son-in-law of Rabbi Berel Stern, Av Beit Din of Skulen Bnei Brak. The bride is the daughter of the Admor of Sauran Beitar and daughter-in-law of the Av Beit Din of Radomishl. Hundreds of Hasidim and community members participated in the joyous event, marking the first of several upcoming weddings within the Nadvorna dynasty.
In line with the Rebbe's explicit instructions, the celebrations were conducted without public noise, street posters, or external decorations around the synagogue. The Rebbe emphasized that all efforts should focus on spiritual preparation for the Days of Awe. To support this, the community printed a comprehensive collection of spiritual essays for the yeshiva scholars and a separate booklet for younger students, aiming to inspire heartfelt readiness for the upcoming joyous occasions.
A unique campaign titled "Good Acceptances" was launched for the yeshiva groups, encouraging them to strengthen their Torah study and divine service through Yom Kippur. Each group committed to this spiritual effort and tracked their progress in a special journal, which was presented to the Rebbe. He reviewed the commitments with great appreciation for the students' enthusiasm.
During the wedding ceremony, the Rebbe wore the traditional shtreimel inherited from his father, the late Admor of Nadvorna. Rabbi Avraham Menashe Haltovsky, a prominent disciple of the late "Davar Chaim," presented the Rebbe with a financial pledge booklet to cover the event's expenses. The Rebbe also strictly enforced the schedule to ensure that the celebrations concluded by 12:30 a.m. to avoid disrupting the study routines of the yeshiva students. The organizers successfully adhered to this timeline, earning the Rebbe's warm gratitude, especially towards the event chairman Rabbi Yechiel Eckstein for his exemplary management.
