Two Men Shot Dead in Qalansawe Amid Family Dispute; Man Dies in Jaffa Car Explosion
Two men in their 40s were fatally shot in Qalansawe on Sunday, according to emergency medical teams who found them unconscious and without vital signs. Paramedic Mohammad Mansour reported that both victims had penetrating injuries and were declared dead at the scene. Central District police have launched an investigation into the shooting, which is suspected to stem from a family feud. Officers from the Sharon region and Tayibe station, along with forensic investigators, are collecting evidence and pursuing suspects.
Earlier the same day, a 38-year-old man died after his Mazda exploded on Saharon Street in Jaffa. Emergency teams found him with multiple severe injuries; his six-year-old son, who was also in the car, sustained moderate injuries and was hospitalized in stable condition at Wolfson Medical Center. Police bomb disposal experts determined that about half a kilogram of explosives had been attached to the vehicle, causing the blast after the car had traveled approximately 100 meters. Large police forces are conducting initial investigations and searching for suspects in connection with the explosion.
