Alon Moreh Yeshiva Celebrates 30 Years with Commemorative Event
Alon Moreh Yeshiva marked its 30th anniversary with a festive event attended by hundreds of alumni, students, rabbis, and public figures. The celebration took place over the weekend at the yeshiva and included special lessons by rabbis who taught during its early years, speeches, and the presentation of certificates to the founding class and longtime CEO Rabbi Nissim Attias. A commemorative video honoring fallen alumni was also shown.
Key attendees included Israel's Chief Rabbi Kalman Bar, Yeshiva heads Rabbi Elyakim Levanon and Rabbi Shachar Imber, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, Shomron Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, and Rabbi Shlomo Yosef Witzen. Rabbi Levanon highlighted the yeshiva's unique path and its integration of Torah with life, noting its influence in study halls, battlefields, and practical life. Chief Rabbi Bar praised the yeshiva as an inspiring model with nationwide impact and wished for its continued growth.
Rabbi Imber described the yeshiva as a source of vitality and joy, emphasizing its deep connection to Torah and the community of Alon Moreh. Minister Smotrich expressed sorrow over the losses of heroic alumni during recent conflicts and recognized the yeshiva's role in nurturing Israel's spiritual leaders. Yossi Dagan praised Rabbi Levanon's leadership and the yeshiva's critical role in the settlement movement, Torah study, military service, and volunteerism.
Alon Moreh Institutions CEO Elisaf Pershan called the event a significant milestone for the yeshiva, the Shomron region, and the entire Israeli nation. He emphasized the yeshiva's role as a beacon of authentic Torah connected to the land of Israel, reflected in the many graduates active across Israeli society. Pershan thanked the event organizers, the yeshiva's administration, rabbis, students, and alumni, expressing hope for continued growth and development at the main campus and branches in Evitar and Har Eival.
