Residents of Beit Aryeh Locked Down for Six Hours Amid Security Alert

Early Saturday morning, residents of Beit Aryeh in the West Bank were confined to their homes for approximately six hours due to a security alert. At 4:29 a.m., sirens were activated in the settlement following concerns about a possible infiltration by militants. Hundreds of families were instructed to enter protected spaces, lock doors, and close windows until the all-clear was given at 11:00 a.m.

The incident began when a local resident spotted two suspicious figures during the night and alerted the community's rapid response team. Subsequently, Israeli Defense Forces were deployed to conduct extensive searches throughout the settlement. Near the perimeter fence, evidence suggesting an attempted infiltration was found, including tracks and security camera footage showing the suspects. However, it is possible the suspects managed to escape.

Authorities believe the incident may have a criminal background rather than a terrorist motive. The situation returned to normal after the thorough security sweep concluded.
