London marks new Vizhnitz yeshiva building with Torah scroll dedication

A major celebration was held in London last week to inaugurate the new building of the Vizhnitz youth yeshiva, Yeshivas Yeshuos Moshe, led by the Vizhnitzer Rebbe, alongside a festive Torah scroll dedication. The scroll was written and donated by Rabbi Yisrael Shalom Toib, and the event drew thousands of chassidim and yeshiva students, as well as rebbes, rabbis, wealthy supporters, and public figures.

The procession began at the home of noted community activist and benefactor Rabbi Yisrael Walzer, one of the leading organizers in London’s haredi community. From there, a large parade with music and dancing made its way to the new yeshiva building. At the entrance plaza, the crowd greeted the procession with singing and joyful dancing in honor of the Torah and the inauguration of the new home, which is intended to become a place where Torah study, prayer, and chassidic life will flourish.

Upon reaching the building, the Rebbe recited the customary passage, "LaDavid mizmor laHashem ha'aretz u'mlo'ah," as is done at a Torah scroll dedication, and his son, Rabbi Chaim Meir Hager, recited "Mizmor leDavid." The Rebbe then danced with the donor and his family and later toured the new building, expressing satisfaction with the impressive Torah hall built for the students.

After the ceremony, the many participants moved to the Yisodei HaTorah hall for a festive meal in honor of the Torah and the dedication. During the meal, rabbis spoke about the importance of expanding Torah institutions and praised the donors and supporters who helped build the new structure and bring in the Torah scroll. The gathering left a strong impression on London’s haredi community and was seen as a significant milestone in the growth of Vizhnitz’s educational institutions in the city.
