France Finish Top of Group 9 with 4-1 Win Over Norway, Dembélé Scores Hat-Trick
France beat Norway 4-1 in their final World Cup group-stage match and finished first in Group 9. Ousmane Dembélé starred with a hat-trick, scoring in the 9th, 20th and 32nd minutes, while Désiré Doué added a late goal in the 90+4th minute.
Norway, who fielded a rotated lineup, briefly cut the deficit through Jørgen Osgaard in the 21st minute. France goalkeeper Mike Maignan also preserved the lead by saving a penalty from Jørgen Strand Larsen in the 50th minute.
The result confirmed France’s place at the top of the group and ended Norway’s match with only a consolation goal.
