Sunny Start to the Week, with Heat Building Inland
Friday began partly cloudy and is expected to turn clear later in the day, with temperatures remaining typical for the season. Tonight will be partly cloudy again. Saturday is forecast to look much the same, with no significant change in temperatures.
Heat stress is expected in several areas: extreme heat in the Dead Sea area, and heavy heat stress in the southern Golan, the northern valleys, the Beit She'an Valley, the Jordan Valley, the Arava and Eilat. The day’s peak solar radiation index is forecast to be very high to extreme.
On Sunday, temperatures are expected to rise slightly, especially in the mountains and inland areas. By Monday, after morning cloud cover clears, skies should turn sunny, and temperatures are set to climb further in the mountains and inland, becoming a bit above seasonal norms there.
The forecasted temperatures for today and tonight are Jerusalem 16-28, Tel Aviv 23-29, Haifa 22-28, Safed 16-29, Katzrin 20-35, Tiberias 21-33, Nazareth 20-31, Afula 20-32, Beit She'an 23-36, Lod 22-30, Ashdod 22-29, Ein Gedi 15-24, Beersheba 21-32, Mitzpe Ramon 17-31, and Eilat 26-38.
