Investigators from Jerusalem’s Lev HaBira police station have completed their probe into a violent attack in the Geula neighborhood, where two Jerusalem residents in their 30s and 40s were arrested. The case opened early this week after a complaint about a serious assault was filed.
Police found that the incident stemmed from a business dispute between the people involved. During the confrontation, the suspects allegedly threatened and attacked the victim with an iron bar and a wooden stick.
The victim suffered injuries and bleeding to the head and was taken to hospital for treatment. After investigators built an evidentiary foundation, the police prosecution filed a statement of intent today, Thursday, saying an indictment is expected.
A Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court judge extended the suspects’ detention today until Monday, when prosecutors are due to submit the charges.
