Houthi leader Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi threatened Israel and said the group is closely watching developments in Somaliland. He said the Houthis are monitoring what he described as Israeli moves aimed at controlling the Gulf of Aden, Bab al-Mandab, and the Red Sea.
He called on Red Sea coastal states to adopt a unified position against what he described as Israeli activity in the area. Al-Houthi added, "We will not stand idly by in the face of an Israeli presence in Somaliland."
He also warned, "We will act at any time to strike any concentration of the Israeli enemy in Somaliland." The remarks framed Somaliland as part of a broader regional confrontation over strategic maritime routes.
