Hasidic singer Meir Goldstein has expanded his cover project, “Inspirations,” with a duet alongside singer Chaim Polak on the well-known song “Le'olam Yehi Adam,” originally composed by Dudi Kalish. The new version keeps the emotional core of the original while giving it a live, contemporary, and authentic feel.
The release came from an unexpected source. Instead of being planned and recorded in a studio, the performance was captured live during a boutique event. Goldstein and Polak were joined on stage by wedding keyboardist Ari Geleb, with musicians Avremi Gelbstein and Moishi Pinzuber also taking part.
After hearing the final result from the event, the project’s creators decided the performance was strong enough, and energetic enough, to be released as an official clip rather than remain an unreleased recording. The music production and arrangement were handled by Shimon Minzberg.
The vocal ensemble “Mekhalot,” led by Moshe Bergman, joined the singers and added a fuller choral layer to the track. The collaboration is now being presented to the public as the latest entry in Goldstein’s cover series.
