A routine work meeting in the studio between David Toiv and Amiran Dvir turned into the creation of a new song, “Yichud HaLevavot” (“Unifying Hearts”). The article says Dvir was absorbed in studying and memorizing Or HaChaim on the weekly Torah portion, and his enthusiasm quickly spread to those around him.
During that study session, the line, “Shebe’emtza’ut yichud ha-levavot mit’yached shmo yitbarach” caught their attention and became the seed of the composition. Toiv said, “When we got to those words, I simply could not stop myself from setting them to music.” He also credited Dvir for adding his own distinctive “spices” to the melody, which gave the song its special, sweeping character.
The finished track is released as a joint performance by the group Chavruta, made up of Toiv and Moyshele Schneider, together with Dvir. It is accompanied by a lavish music video filmed and edited by Dvidi Nachshon, designed to visually convey the atmosphere of the piece. The article frames the project as evidence that strong music can begin with deep inner connection, not just a formal studio session.
