After nearly four months inside Israel’s most watched house, Koren Hatuka was eliminated on Wednesday night and finished in sixth place, just before the "Big Brother" finale scheduled for Saturday night. His exit revealed the five finalists: Rafaela Twina, Eliran Biton, Omer Tzipori, Gal Robin and Noam Takla.
On Thursday morning, Hatuka was already adjusting to life outside the house. In an interview with Reshet 13 right after his elimination, he said he was "very, very happy and grateful to God." Looking back on his run, he added that he had been nervous during the first eliminations and did not know what would happen in the following weeks, so reaching this stage was, in his words, "very respectable."
Asked whether he expected to make the final, Hatuka admitted he did, saying, "I would be lying if I said no." He added, "There is this feeling of missed opportunity and disappointment." When asked what he would say to the women who had developed crushes on him, he replied that he came in as an anonymous contestant and does not need attention, only "one person," adding, "If my future wife is listening in the crowd, hi, I left the house, you can send me a message."
Hatuka also spoke about the gap between the version of himself shown in his audition and the person viewers saw in the house. "I do not like that old Koren, I like the Koren who is speaking to you now," he said, describing it as personal work he had to do. Asked who most deserves to win, he chose Noam, saying he "made an amazing journey."
