Reese Witherspoon and businessman Oliver Haarmann appeared together at a Hollywood premiere on Wednesday, marking their first red carpet outing as a couple. The event was the premiere of Elle, a series based on Legally Blonde, and the pair arrived on a pink-decorated carpet. Witherspoon was also joined by her son Deacon Phillippe, who came to support her.
The relationship reportedly began in July 2024, about six months after Witherspoon divorced Jim Toth. The couple kept things private for months, despite media attention, and were first linked publicly in September 2024. By May 2025, reports said they wanted to move in together and were looking for a luxurious home in New York so Witherspoon could be closer to her son, who studies at New York University. It is still unclear whether they have actually moved in together.
Haarmann was previously married to businesswoman Mala Gaonkar, and they have two sons. He holds a degree in history and international relations, formerly worked at a global investment firm in London, and is now a founding partner at Searchlight Capital Partners. His personal fortune is estimated at about $440 million, and the firm oversees more than $15 billion in assets.
As for the series itself, Elle is scheduled to premiere in early July on Prime Video.
