Rafi Menco is expected to leave Hapoel HaEmek before the 2026/2027 season, despite joining the club only at the start of this campaign. The 32-year-old small forward is attracting interest from several teams, with Bnei Herzliya pushing hardest to add him as a major part of its Israeli player core.
Hapoel Holon is also interested and may try to bring him back to the purple jersey, while Ness Ziona is another club monitoring his situation. The report says Menco is effectively on his way out of HaEmek, and a move to a new team appears likely.
In the recent regular season, the Israel national team player averaged 7.4 points and 3.3 rebounds. He raised his level in the playoffs against Hapoel Jerusalem, finishing the two games with averages of 11.5 points and 3.5 rebounds.
Menco’s resume includes three seasons with Maccabi Tel Aviv, after one season with Hapoel Holon. His best year came with Eilat in the 2019/2020 season, when he posted 13.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per game.
