Valencia finished a standout 2025/26 season by beating Barcelona 108-84 in Game 4 of the Spanish league final and winning the series 3-1. It is only the club’s second national title and its first in 28 years.
Valencia had already won the Supercopa earlier in the season, but was eliminated in the EuroLeague semifinals and the Spanish Cup semifinals. After losing the opener of the final in overtime, it responded with three straight wins to close out the championship.
The decisive game was tight early, but Valencia took control in the second quarter and led by 12 at halftime. A 35-point third quarter effectively ended the contest, and the margin kept growing until the final buzzer at Palau Blaugrana.
Jean Montero led the way in what was described as his farewell before a move to Olympiacos, scoring 23 points. Kameron Taylor added 21 points and 6 rebounds, Omari Moore had 19 points and 4 rebounds, and Braxton Key contributed 12 points and 5 rebounds. For Barcelona, Kevin Punter scored 23 points and grabbed 4 rebounds, but Barcelona still finished the year disappointed as runner-up. The club had hoped head coach Xavi Pascual, who arrived during the season and previously won Barcelona’s last EuroLeague title, would revive the team.
