An exclusive recording obtained by News 14 captures a representative of Captain Media, which manages billboards in Umm al-Fahm, refusing to provide advertising services to the office of MK Zvi Sukkot. In the call, the representative is heard saying, “To the right, we do not put up,” and later clarifying that the company would not run material for “the extreme right.”
The request was tied to Sukkot’s planned visit to an educational institution in Umm al-Fahm. As part of preparations for the visit, his office tried to buy billboard space in the city through the company that operates the signs there.
Sukkot said he would not let the matter pass and intends to file a formal complaint with Israel Police for prohibited political discrimination. He called the conduct “serious and infuriating,” saying it showed that some commercial companies in Israel still treat groups unequally and exclude people because of their national views.
After the report, Captain Media distanced itself from the employee and said he was connected to an external broker. The company said it is a business, not a political body, and that it provides advertising services to business, public, and political clients. It added that every request is reviewed on professional grounds only, including media availability, content suitability, legal requirements, and contract terms. The company also said the phone number used belonged to an outside intermediary who is not an employee and is not authorized to speak for the firm or set its policy.
