Strategic consultant Moshe Klughaft, who has advised former prime ministers Benjamin Netanyahu and Naftali Bennett, is at the center of public criticism after allegations that he appeared on television as a pundit without disclosing conflicts of interest. The report was published Wednesday evening on Channel 13.
According to the report, Klughaft provided professional services to political parties, including the Religious Zionism party, and was paid for that work. At the same time, he regularly praised the party leader, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, in television studios without telling viewers about their business relationship.
In response, Klughaft said: “I do not advise candidates for elections in Israel, but instead conduct in-depth research in my offices, like all polling firms, for anyone who requests it. In 2025 we conducted such studies for more than 10 different parties, both in the opposition and the coalition, as well as for commercial entities. In the 2026 election year we worked abroad and did not conduct any research in Israel at all.”
