Acro has won two large tenant selection tenders in Rishon Lezion and Holon, and is expected to advance urban renewal projects totaling about 950 new housing units. The company said the wins bring its 2026 tally to six tenant tenders, for roughly 4,000 units in total.
In Rishon Lezion, Acro was chosen on Monday for the Zeiger, Gisin, Shenkin and Jabotinsky complex in the old Averbovitch neighborhood in the city’s western area. The project covers about 18 dunams and now contains 241 apartments, including five commercial units, in 17 aging buildings. The plan calls for demolition and replacement with about 750 homes, retail along the main streets, open public space, two 35-story towers and three buildings of about 10 stories. Existing residents are set to receive an extra 12 square meters per apartment, plus a balcony and parking. The site lies between two planned metro stations and is part of the “Rishon Lezion 2050” vision for intensive mixed-use development along the Jabotinsky corridor.
The architectural plan, prepared by Moshe Zur Architects for Acro, includes a 3-dunam internal park with ecological pools, shaded seating, playgrounds, pedestrian access and links to public spaces, as well as a lobby, gym, community areas and underground parking. Tenant organization was led by Eran Drori and Amit Ben Shabbat, with legal representation by Meir Deutch, appraisal by Nechama Bogen, and inspection by Eran Jarfy.
Acro also won a separate bid for the Sokolov-Hankin complex in central Holon. That site currently has 114 apartments in three buildings, along with commercial and employment space, and is part of a broader planning area the company is developing there. The redevelopment is expected to produce about 200 homes plus retail and office space, along Sokolov Street near the future light rail route. The residents are represented by attorneys Eilat Behari, Yael Boaz and Roy Baruch; the appraiser is Shmulik Cohen; PRO Engineering is the supervisor; and Yaski Mor Sivan is handling the design. Acro executive vice president Amir Barel said the company will work with residents and authorities to advance the projects and improve residents’ quality of life.
