Donald Trump told Fox News on Tuesday that there is no need to rush to locate Iran’s nuclear materials, saying they are buried deep underground. In the same remark, Trump also said, “Netanyahu will do what I tell him to do.”
His comments came as an Iranian deputy foreign minister said there is no plan to allow nuclear inspectors access to the sites that were attacked. The statement was presented as the position of the Iranian side on the issue.
The aide to Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also said IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi had asked to meet them in Switzerland, but claimed that the meeting did not take place. The exchange underscores continuing tension over access to Iran’s nuclear facilities and materials.
