A new study by Israeli Mapped in NY says Israeli technology companies in New York currently have more than 500 open roles. Among jobs that publish salary ranges, the median pay is $148,000 a year and the average is about $162,000. More than 60 openings offer over $200,000 annually, 12 offer more than $300,000, and the highest-paid role includes compensation of up to $575,000 a year.
Cybersecurity firms account for the largest share of openings. Twelve major Israeli cyber companies active in New York together have about 67 vacancies, with an average salary of roughly $176,000, above the overall average. Fintech is also a major hiring engine, with about 69 open positions.
Sales and business development lead all job categories with 78 openings. There are also dozens of roles in marketing, finance, product management, software, artificial intelligence, customer success, human resources, information security and operations. The report says most openings are aimed at experienced and senior workers, with many positions at the Senior, Director and VP levels and relatively few for early-career candidates.
Most hiring comes from companies that are already sizable employers. More than 420 openings are at firms with over 50 employees, including more than 100 jobs at companies with more than 1,000 workers. The recruiting companies include Fireblocks, Oasis Security, Wiz, Pagaya, Rapyd, Via, UVeye and K Health.
The findings were published amid debate after Zohran Mamdani won the Democratic primary for New York mayor, which stirred concerns among some business and tech leaders. Despite that, the report says Israeli tech firms still see New York as a key place to expand, hire and build their U.S. business. Israeli Mapped in NY founder and CEO Guy Franklin said the study offers the first broad view of the labor market these companies are creating and shows strong demand for experienced workers, very high pay and a deepening Israeli ecosystem in New York.
