Yogev Cohen became involved in a dramatic roadside incident when he noticed that the driver in the car ahead of him, an 80-year-old man, was not responding at all. Cohen’s dashcam captured him getting out of his own car and running to the vehicle, which had stopped at a red light.
After knocking on the car and getting no answer, Cohen decided to intervene. In an interview with the morning show "The World This Morning," he recalled, "I saw him slumped over the steering wheel and it took me a second to understand. I called MDA immediately."
Cohen said the episode showed how basic attentiveness and patience, often lost in daily stress, can prevent a disaster and save lives. He added, "Everyone would have noticed."
According to Cohen, the driver eventually woke up, opened the door, and told him he was fine. Cohen gave him water and tried to persuade him to eat something, but the man closed the door and drove off. Cohen said he then informed the police that they should check whether the driver was all right.
