Israel Police and road users are preparing for major traffic disruptions tomorrow as a coordinated convoy of vehicles is scheduled to depart simultaneously from 19 different starting points across the country. The departures are expected to create heavy congestion on intercity roads feeding into major traffic arteries, with local coordinators assigned at each departure point to manage the gatherings, brief participants, and synchronize the convoys.
Severe disruptions are expected around Jerusalem and Route 1, because many launch points are concentrated in and around the city. These include Schneller Parking Lot, Har HaMenuchot Parking Lot, Golda Meir Boulevard 474, and the ShaaT parking area. Additional convoys will join from the Belz synagogue parking lot in Givat Ze'ev and from Routes 38 and 375 in the Beit Shemesh and Beitar Illit area, where vehicles will gather from Herzog Street, Nahar HaYarden, the Dorot community center, and the Givat A and B neighborhoods in Beitar.
Traffic on Route 446 will also be affected by a convoy leaving from Beit Hillel Street in Modi'in Illit, and movement in Emanuel will be disrupted by departures from Ramboam Square. In the center of the country, the Shfela, and along Route 4, unusually heavy congestion is expected because of the large number of launch sites in major cities. Ashdod alone will have seven departure points, and Bnei Brak will have six, while additional bottlenecks are expected on Routes 444 and 471 from Elad, on Route 40 near Kiryat Gat and Rehovot, and in Netanya.
Further north and south, traffic delays are also expected on Route 65 and Route 60 near Afula and Nof HaGalil, on Routes 89 and 90 near Tiberias, Safed, and Hatzor, in Haifa near the Geula dormitory area, and on Route 31 near Arad. Organizers are urging participants to follow the coordinators' instructions and maintain order, while drivers are advised to check navigation apps and live traffic updates.
