Prof. Sigal Sadetsky Appointed Permanent Head of Public Health Division
Israel’s Health Ministry announced the permanent appointment of Prof. Sigal Sadetsky as head of the Public Health Division. Sadetsky, a physician specializing in public health and epidemiology, had been serving in the role in an acting capacity since February and is now formally taking the post.
In recent months, she has led preparations for the Ebola outbreak and overseen the public health system during Operation “Roar of the Lion.”
Health Ministry director general Moshe Bar Siman-Tov welcomed the appointment, saying, “Her many years of experience and commitment to public health are a significant asset for the Health Ministry.”
