Tzachi Braverman, formerly the chief of staff to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has been summoned for a hearing by the Civil Service Commission before a possible suspension from his post, according to a report published Monday.
About three weeks ago, the State Attorney's Office informed Braverman's lawyers that Attorney General Gali Baharav-Miara and State Attorney Amit Isman were considering indicting him on criminal charges of fraud, breach of trust, and obstruction of justice. Any such decision would still be subject to the hearing process.
The case is connected to what the report described as the “night meeting” affair. No final decision on indictment or suspension has been announced yet.
