A large Likud “Victory Forum” gathering took place yesterday at the Shilo Winery in the Binyamin Regional Council area, drawing hundreds of local Likud members, prominent public activists and area residents. The event was led by MK Amit Halevi and was presented as a show of support for public representatives pushing for “true democracy” and full security.
Alongside Halevi, the event included Education Minister Yoav Kisch, MK Moshe Saada, reserve Brig. Gen. Hesi Nehama, and Beit El council head Shai Alon. Speakers said the purpose of the meeting, especially at this time, was to strengthen Likud elected officials who are taking an uncompromising line in favor of “decision and victory” on every front.
One of the evening’s emotional moments came in Halevi’s remarks, when he said he had come directly from two graves on Mount Herzl. He said he had attended the memorial for Yoni Netanyahu, marking 50 years since Operation Entebbe, and then buried Navae Chabashush, a hero from Binyamin who was killed in combat in Lebanon.
Halevi used the comparison to link generations of fighters and said leaders in the Knesset and government are bound by the same courage and dedication in the struggle for sovereignty and security “until full victory.” Organizers and activists described the conference as a major success and as evidence of the strong spirit of the Binyamin Likud branch and its commitment to pushing for broad reforms in state institutions, especially the justice and security systems.
