M.S. Ashdod has filed an official complaint against Ironi Tiberias over an alleged doping violation, in a case that has stirred Israeli football. The issue centers on what the report describes as an unusual infusion incident, and the matter is now being handled by the sport’s governing institutions.
Attorney Amit Hadad, who represents Ashdod, said on the program "5 Ba'Avir" that the evidence is already in the hands of the Israel Football Association. "We have unequivocal evidence against Tiberias," he said. "We are after the secret has been revealed and the masks have come off." He added that there was a one-liter infusion and each player was attached to a bag, calling it something that cannot be done unless there is a medical need.
Hadad said there may be reasons to conceal something, but not to carry out such an action intentionally in order to give players an unfair advantage. According to him, there are "pictures of the bags and people who told." He said Ashdod expects a serious response and that the institutions will reach the necessary conclusions. "We would not have gone into this process without a solid body of evidence that leaves no room for doubt," he said, adding that Ashdod asked the anti-doping agency to take the information from the association.
Hadad also stressed how quickly the matter was reported, saying the club did not want to keep it in a drawer. He said the material was sent even on Friday, despite it not being a standard workday, because "there are things that must not wait." He described it as an exceptionally unusual incident, said he had never seen anything like it, and added that they did not want time for evidence to be cleaned up. He said the information reached them because the circle of people who knew about it was large enough, and predicted the matter would be resolved quickly.
