Israeli singer Eden Ben Zaken, who consistently sells out shows and tops the charts, is now taking control of her own wardrobe for her upcoming tour, rather than relying on a professional stylist team as is common in the industry. The move was first reported Monday by Israel Hayom's entertainment outlet, and the reason behind it has now emerged.
According to a report in Walla Celebs, tensions flared during the latest taping of The Voice, where Ben Zaken will serve as one of the mentors. She was unhappy with the outfits chosen for her, and the dispute in the dressing room was described as serious. After that incident, she decided to replace her entire styling crew.
This is not the first time Ben Zaken's styling has made headlines. She has faced repeated criticism over her concert outfits since parting ways with stylist Israel Rahmani. In response, she recruited fashion personality Sapir Avisror, who left the role shortly afterward, then brought in respected stylist Haya Wider, whose collaboration with her also ended quickly.
Ben Zaken later hired stylist Shani Lasri, who also styles singer Itay Levi, but that partnership too lasted only a short time. Now, Ben Zaken appears to have concluded that she knows best what works for her, and will choose the looks for herself.
