In an interview with Sport 5's “5 on the Air,” agent Boaz Gordon said several of his clients are facing major decisions, especially Anan Khalaili, who is nearing a big move this summer. Gordon said Khalaili has come off a long, difficult season and that his team has been studying the market carefully. He confirmed that Napoli approached early, but stressed they are not the only club involved and that there are still concrete options on the table.
Gordon said the relevant market for a player of Khalaili's profile, especially in a World Cup year, is still in an early stage. “There are real things on the table,” he said, adding that they are acting responsibly and will decide when the time comes. He noted that “a significant phone call can come any hour” and said Khalaili's chances of leaving are high, though the timing and details remain uncertain.
On Eli Dasa, Gordon said he remains in good contact with the player, though their relationship is less of the traditional agent-client kind than before. He said he does not really know what will happen, but hopes Dasa will chart his own path and that things will work out well.
Regarding Sean Weissman, Gordon said there are “several things from Europe” that should be resolved soon, one way or the other, and Weissman will have to make a decision. Asked about Beitar Jerusalem, he said that in Israel anyone can represent Weissman because people know who he is and what he is worth. On Lisav Eissat, Gordon said he has heard nothing from Maccabi Haifa, so “apparently it did not happen,” but added that the young defender is a highly sought-after player and that the right offer will be considered together. As for Matthias Nunez, Gordon said Maccabi Haifa had not informed them that he was told not to attend training, and that the issue is not currently under discussion.
