Anduril, the American defense startup led by serial entrepreneur Palmer Luckey, is interviewing several senior figures in Israel as it considers setting up a local operation. The planned Israeli presence would focus on sales to the Israeli defense establishment and on research and development for the company’s global products, according to Globes.
The company, described as the best-known U.S. startup in the defense sector, has raised $12 billion and is valued at $61 billion. At this stage, Anduril is proceeding cautiously and is still conducting market research before deciding how to launch in Israel.
One option under review is to build the business through acquisitions, while another is to establish it organically. The company has not yet chosen between those paths, and the process is still in an early exploratory phase.
