A video circulating on social media shows a tense near miss on roads in Crimea, where a Russian fuel tanker driver escaped what appeared to be a direct strike by a Ukrainian military drone. The footage captures the drone closing in rapidly on the truck before the driver, apparently spotting the threat in time, makes a sharp evasive maneuver that pulls the vehicle off the drone’s path.
Unlike many drone attacks, where the aircraft crashes on impact or is remotely detonated, this drone can be seen missing the tanker by only centimeters. It then remains stable, climbs again, and flies back upward, apparently either to line up for another attack run or because it briefly lost lock on the target.
The clip does not report any injuries or damage, but it highlights the close-range danger faced by vehicles moving through Crimea during the conflict.
