Prince Harry and Meghan Markle plan to travel to Britain next month with their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. The trip comes as the family prepares for the one-year countdown to the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027, the adaptive sports event for injured service members and veterans, which Harry founded and has previously marked with similar countdown events alongside Meghan.
According to People magazine, King Charles III has offered Harry and his family accommodation at one of the royal estates. As of the report, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex had not responded to the offer. If they accept, they still would not receive taxpayer-funded security or additional protection instructions from the Home Office.
Harry and Meghan lost their publicly funded police protection when they stepped back from royal duties in January 2020. Harry has fought that decision in court for years, but without success.
No meeting between Harry and his father has been confirmed for the upcoming visit. Their last known encounter was on 10 September 2025 at Buckingham Palace, while Harry was in London for Invictus Games events. That meeting reportedly lasted about 55 minutes.
