Metula local council chairman David Azulai told ynet's studio that he does not believe the ceasefire on Israel's northern border will last. He said that, based on his familiarity with Iran and Hezbollah, they will find reasons to violate it. "I don't believe it will continue. As someone who knows the Iranians and Hezbollah, they will find the reasons," he said.
Azulai also commented on the talks between the United States and Iran, saying Israel is effectively receiving guidance from the American president. He said he would not be surprised if the negotiations lead to a decision that the IDF should withdraw, and argued that it would happen despite denials from the defense minister and the prime minister that Israel will not pull back.
He then called for a hard line along the Litani River, saying it should be marked in red and that Hezbollah fighters and Lebanese residents should be warned that anyone who crosses will be killed. He added that Israel should act physically to enforce that threat.
