Alba Berlin forces a decisive Game 5 against Bayern Munich
Alba Berlin stayed alive in the German championship series on Friday night, beating Bayern Munich 71-61 in Game 4 and denying the Bavarians a title celebration on the road. The win evens the final at the brink of a decisive fifth game after Alba had lost the previous matchup at home.
Justin Bean led Alba with 17 points and nine rebounds, while Malte Delow added 11. The game was competitive and swung back and forth in the first half, where Bayern led by three at the break.
Alba took control after halftime and held Bayern to just 16 points in the second half. Nenad Dimitrijevic led Bayern with 14 points, but it was not enough to prevent the loss.
The series now moves to Munich for Game 5 in two days.
